Anjali Arora talked candidly about her portrayal of Goddess Sita in Shri Ramayan Katha and her comparisons to Sai Pallavi. The Hindu epic is the inspiration for two upcoming films: Abhishek Singh’s “Shri Ramayan Katha,” which stars Anjali Arora in the role of Sita, and Nitesh Tiwari’s “Ramayan,” which stars Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi as Ram and Sita, respectively. Fans are looking forward to both flicks.
In a recent interview with ETimes, Anjali expressed how very grateful she is to have been given the chance to play Sita. She recalled her initial interest in landing the part and mentioned that the director had told her that she would be competing with a number of other performers. She was finally selected for the part by the filmmakers in spite of the competition. Anjali also talked about how, after being cast for the part last month, she has taken a proactive stance in getting ready for the job, actively participating in seminars and viewing films.
“I think they saw something in me that convinced them I could do justice to the character,” she said to the portal. Since my finalization last month, I’ve been attending workshops, reading books, and watching videos. I’ll do everything in my power to honor the character.
Comparisons with Sai Pallavi
Given that the Hindu epic serves as the inspiration for both films, Anjali Arora understood that her portrayal of Sita would inevitably lead to parallels with Sai Pallavi’s performance in the Ramayana. She nevertheless expressed her happiness at being compared to a more experienced actress, saying, “I will be happy if I am compared to a Bollywood actress.”

Thanks to her presence on the reality show Lock Upp and her viral dancing videos, Anjali gained a large social media following. In response to questions about how her social media presence would be seen by the public, she emphasized her dedication to presenting Sita truthfully while acknowledging that she had no influence over other people’s perspectives. Anjali stated that her social media profile does not in any way represent her acting ability or have any bearing on her performance, while acknowledging the existence of internet trolls and their freedom to voice their opinions.
The Cast of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana
In Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, Ranbir Kapoor will be playing the role of Lord Ram. Sai Pallavi has been roped in for the role of Sita. KGF star Yash is also likely to play Ravana in the movie, whereas Sunny Deol has reportedly been locked for the role of Hanuman. Bobby Deol and Vijay Sethupathi are also reportedly in talks for the roles of Kumbhakarna and Vibhashana, respectively. It was recently reported that Amitabh Bachchan has been finalized for the role of King Dashrath in the movie. However, there is no official confirmation regarding this as of now.
