Short Story of Aavesham
Three Keralans, Mithun Jai Shankar’s (Bimbi), Hipzster’s (Aju), and Roshan Shahnavaz’s (Shanthan), enroll in an engineering institution in Bangalore. After their college seniors beat them up, the three decide to make up. According to Aju, they will be able to exact revenge on their superiors if they have local backing. They quickly become friends with the local mobster Ranga (Fahadh Faasil). The film explores how Bibi, Aju, and Shanthan’s lives were impacted by their friendship with Ranga.
Plus Points of Aavesham
Aavesham is one of those movies where the performance of the lead actor is crucial to the story. Without a doubt, director Jithu Madhavan developed one of the most absurd characters in recent memory, but the greatest part is that he cast Fahadh Faasil in the role.
The Malayali actor has nailed it with his insane performance. Fahadh’s small movements in the movie are incredibly funny and will make you laugh out loud no matter what he does. Aavesham becomes a fun movie as Fahadh lets his inner beast out. It is hard to see anyone else in Ranga’s position due to the actor’s outstanding performance.
Hipzster, Roshan Shahnavaz, and Mithun Jai Shankar are all competent in their respective parts. The three people question Fahadh Faasil’s ability and think the thugs are exaggerating their praise of him. Our thoughts will be left wondering after these scenes, which will add interest to the proceedings. In one way, the director created an element of suspense in this action comedy.
Both halves have plenty of entertaining moments, and the amusing portions are mostly successful. Sajin Gopu is excellent in the role of Fahadh’s sidekick. The emotional moments at the end are handled neatly without going overboard.
Minus Points of Aavesham
As previously said, the film has a very shallow plot and is mostly focused on the characterization of the protagonist. Those who are looking for high-quality content may be a little let down. The world-building and character development take more time.
A couple of scenes in the second half could have been cut, and there are times when the pacing is slow. Mansoor Ali Khan’s part required additional nuance. The actor was unable to have any impression because of writing problems.
Technical Particulars of Aavesham
The background music and songs by Sushin Shyam fit the movie’s concept perfectly. The action scenes are expertly recorded, and Sameer Thahir’s cinematography is fantastic. Although the editing could have been much better, the production qualities are still rather good.
Despite the film’s poor premise, Jithu Madhavan did a great job directing it by sprinkling fun moments throughout. With Fahadh Faasil’s casting as Ranga, the filmmaker has already won half the war, and the actor’s spectacular performance has elevated the film to entirely new heights.

Overall, Aavesham is an exciting ride, greatly enhanced by the energetic performance of Fahadh Faasil in this action comedy. Ranga is one of the most unusual parts that have come out recently, and the actor lights up the screens with his amazing screen presence. The second part of the film has a languid pacing and a wafer-thin narrative. It may have been possible to cut a few sequences. The insane scenes in the film are what make it strong and make up for its shortcomings. As such, Aavesham turns out to be a pleasant meal.
